The REALTOR® Code of Ethics are a key factor separating REALTORS® from all other real estate practitioners as they hold the REALTOR® to a higher level of professionalism in the industry. When a licensee joins the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS®, they agree to subscribe to the REALTOR® strict Code of Ethics.
The Preamble section of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics says it best when it states the following: "The term REALTOR® has come to connote competency, fairness, and high integrity resulting from adherence to a lofty ideal of moral conduct in business relations. No inducement of profit and no instruction from clients ever can justify departure from this ideal."
