Education F.A.Q's

What are the Education Requirements for Renewal?
Missouri requires 12 hours of CE (Continuing Education) every two years (even numbered years). This includes 3 hours of core credit and 9 hours of elective credit. The Broker renewal deadline is June 30, 2008, Salesperson deadline is September 30, 2008. If you take all your classes through GSBOR you can be assured your courses will count towards your requirement. Save your course completion certificates so you will always know what courses you have taken and what you still need. Remember to store your class certificates in a safe place for 3 years in case of state audit. This is YOUR license and shouldn't be trusted to your assistant or your memory! GSBOR assesses a $10 per class charge for creating duplicate certificates. The Missouri Real Estate Commission website does not currently show your accrued hours. For other information about licensing go to http://pr.mo.gov/realestate.asp or call them at (573)751-2628.

What if I have not received my license renewal application
You need to contact the Missouri State Commission at 573-751-2628 to get instructions for receiving your renewal application.

What is the renewal Deadline for Code of Ethics Training?
Between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008, every REALTOR® is required to complete 2 1/2 hours of Code of Ethics training. REALTORS® who have completed this training as a requirement of membership in another association are not required to complete additional ethics training until the next four year cycle.
